When I Realized Pattern Recognition Was Real
Pattern recognition is a superpower that I did not consciously become aware of until about my mid-20s. I started to realize that I can recognize instantly when someone’s mood is shifting by the second through voice tones, body language, energy, and sometimes their eyes. When I wasn’t consciously aware that I was observing people in this way, I guess my mind would quickly absorb this info and process it quickly, so I could determine my next action. This almost sounds like a superpower, but when you have not processed unresolved trauma, it kind of makes you go into survivor mode. I wasn’t using this superpower to advance myself through life, but rather as a protection method to protect me in a moment when I felt vulnerable. Now that I am one month shy of celebrating my 31st birthday, I am using my pattern recognition skills the way that they were intended to be used.
How Trauma Turns You Into a Master Observer
When you are in survival mode or experience any type of trauma in your childhood hood you become a master observer. Some event happened to you that caused your five senses to tune in to whoever hurt you, so you can anticipate when it will happen again, and unfortunately, brace yourself for the next time. No one likes to be caught by surprise. You remember what triggered them, so you can be careful of your words and actions so you won’t trigger a negative event from happening. You essentially are walking on eggshells to keep the peace and attention off of you. All you’re trying to do is survive the day without incident. You probably experienced so much trauma that you can predict things by noticing the pace of their breathing. Throughout all these observations and events, the one positive thing you can pull from these experiences is that you are probably the most present person in your inner circle.
Why Being Present Is How We Survive and Thrive
We are taught that we need to make sure we stay present in any moment that we are in. We are not supposed to focus on the past or the future, but instead stay grounded in where we presently are. To the extraterrestrials that had their hand in creating us, they knew that it was imperative to our human life to stay present. We live in a world where souls are reincarnated with free will. Pattern recognition in humans can be the sole reason they survive an incident. If you experience any trauma at a young age, you should be using your skills to survive. Although that is not good for our mental health and nervous system, you still survived to live another day. The positive side of using pattern recognition skills to live as a human is to be able to recognize people’s intention, their moods, and what their energy reads in the moment. You may work with someone every day and notice their behavior is off, but they haven’t said anything out of the ordinary. Let’s say that it bothered you enough that you checked in with them to see what was going on, and turns out, they had a rough night with their spouse and had not processed it. Maybe you both are close enough where they can peacefully vent it after that, and they feel better. Your pattern recognition skills could be the reason they have a good rest of the day. We all know how one bad morning can spiral your whole day.
Patterns Beyond People: Astrology and Angel Numbers
Patterns are everywhere in everything we observe in this human world. Recognizing patterns sometimes gives us a peek at the past, and lately it can determine our future. One of the most interesting patterns that I like to read about (although I still don’t understand it) is astrology. I imagine a group of people, so long ago, made a whole lot of observations of our planets in the solar system and used those positions to determine events, moods, energy shifts, and so much more. And I have yet to read a horoscope that didn’t resonate with me. I don’t read them often, but when I do, it sends a shock through my body at how accurate it can be. Another simple pattern recognition that I notice daily is Angel numbers. I don’t know who the ancestors and guides are exactly, but I know they send me messages daily through numbers. Every day, I consistently see angel numbers 777, 555, 222. There’s something so magical about repetitive numbers that our angels and guides like to use. Numbers carry energy and meaning, so when we see them in a repeated pattern, we are being communicated with from the other side.
The Real Power: Discernment and Avoiding Low Vibrations
Recognizing patterns in human behavior can save you from years of wasted time, heartbreak, and losing yourself to lower vibration energy. Unless it is your divine plan to be a human on Earth, almost everything can be avoided by pattern recognition and then acting accordingly. If you choose to ignore what you recognize as something you don’t like, then whatever happens after that is on you. I had to learn that the hard way in my early twenties. Our cosmic family in the skies has set us up with everything we could need to carry out our purpose in life. From the beings that were responsible for creating our physical bodies all the way to the Angels and ancestors that gently guide us through life, we as humans have no physical need for anything to aid us in our growth. Never let the materialistic world trick you into thinking you need physical items to “save you.” All you need is yourself. Over the years, I’ve learned to calmly observe any pattern that is brought to my awareness because if something is brought to my attention, then that means I need to take a certain action. Our goal should always be to make any decision for our lives that will bring out a positive outcome, even if that means that we have to sacrifice a little bit now to reap benefits later.
Turning Pain Into Power: Alchemizing the Past
When I think of my pattern recognition skills being activated at a young age, I used to think that it was such a bad thing to happen to a child. But now, as an adult who is in reflection mode, I had to learn those skills earlier than a typical human would. I believe the type of pattern recognition skills you learn through trauma are skills that are taught to you as you progress through life. And the caveat to that is how you will alchemize that experience. Will the trauma be so deep that you can’t turn that pain into a positive superpower? Or will you succumb to the experience? That is entirely up to you and the journey you choose to go on. My suggestion will always be to follow what resonates with you.
