Understanding the difference between surviving and truly thriving is key to personal growth, career fulfillment, and living your purpose in this lifetime. We have been in survival mode for so long that we managed to convince ourselves that we actually enjoy what we are doing for a living. We have forgotten that the job that we have to do is not the job that we said we wanted when we were kids dreaming about our future. Some kids did not have a chance to dream due to trauma, lack of love, or some form of conditioning so the concept of survivor mode is normal them.

Ignoring the calling of your soul can negatively impact your mental health, emotional wellbeing, and lead to long-term career dissatisfaction. You can be okay with the job that you took out of necessity for only a short amount of time, soon enough unhappiness will start to slither in. If you don’t resolve that feeling then next thing will be depression. Depression left untreated will be the start of downward spiral of your life and you may form unhealthy habits while losing your personal relationships.

Developing an entrepreneurial mindset and investing in self-development can help redirect your energy toward career growth and meaningful work. Surviving is helping someone build up their dream because you lack something internally to take a chance on yourself, that is where the trauma and lack of self esteem comes in. If you are thriving at job that you have convinced yourself you love that is only because your employer sees those same qualities that they used to build their own business. And instead of encouraging you to pursue your own endeavors they will exploit you until they no longer need you. This is one of the reasons why we are seeing these massive layoffs in the job market. Not all jobs are like this but this should only resonate with the people that know they can be doing something more than the current situation they are in.

A passion-driven career that aligns work with purpose and consistent goal setting ensures that your efforts contribute to long-term fulfillment. GMC released a documentary on their new Hummer EV line up. One of the engineers in the video briefly described how he ended up in the role in helping create the hummer EV. He went on to say that he has always been a car enthusiast and his hobbies of building his own cars lead him to be apart of the team that brought the Hummer Ev to life. His final remarks in the segment was that he doesn’t even call it a job because it is what he loves to do. His story is a perfect example of having a 9-5 traditional job but it aligns with everything that you love to do.

The path to self-discovery and personal transformation often requires creative fulfillment, reflection, and the courage to confront what has been holding you back. There are so many distractions and events that can easily get off focus and off balanced from our paths that we were destined for. We have been conditioned to fear the unknown instead of looking at it as possibilities. Creative work is spiritual work and in figuring out your passions you will have to face a lot of yourself that you may have been avoiding.

It takes a lot of dedication, consistency, discipline, and passion to find yourself so you can live a fulfilling life and not everyone will be willing to go that far because there will no instant gratification in the process. You could be trapped in a box and not realize that you are trapped because you think it has everything you will ever need. If you are not on the path that you were destined for your soul/higher self will try to get your attention, but it will ultimately up to you to listen and take action.

Living your life purpose means embracing your unique path, aligning actions with goals, and resisting the temptation to copy others’ journeys. Do the hard work of going within to figure out what you are supposed to be doing, explore hobbies, think outside the box, approach the unknown with curiosity. If you have to work at a job to sustain yourself until your business is profitable then do it but make sure you are working hard at your dreams every chance you get. No matter what you end up doing always make sure that every action is something that aligns with the highest version of yourself, and gets you closer to your goals.

Intentional living, self-awareness, and personal growth strategies allow you to transform survival mode into a life filled with purpose, meaning, and achievement. Start being intentional with everything you do in your life and every decision you make for your future. Before you make any decision ask yourself will this decision help me in the grand scheme of my life. With good intention, in the end you will figure it out because that is what we are all here to do!
