Observing the Human Self vs Higher Self
During a recent moment of reflection, I experienced what felt like an internal out-of-body experience. It wasn’t my soul leaving my body. Instead, I observed a separation between my human self and my higher self. In that moment, my higher self seemed to take control. I felt less emotional, more logical, and more decisive. The human side of me was surprised by this clarity, as it felt cold and detached compared to my usual emotional state. Yet, despite the discomfort, handling the situation through my higher self produced the right outcome. Experiences like this reveal the power of observing yourself from a higher perspective. Learning to recognize and trust this version of yourself can transform how you handle challenges, emotions, and decisions in daily life.
Lessons From Tapping Your Higher Self
After the experience, I realized I could intentionally “call upon” my higher self in difficult moments. Doing so allows me to act with clarity and purpose rather than being pulled by conflicting emotions. I began to notice a confidence that comes from letting this version of me lead. My mind felt sharp, focused, and free from emotional noise. This clarity is refreshing and empowering. Instead of reacting impulsively, I could respond thoughtfully. While it may feel unfamiliar or even robotic at first, integrating your higher self into decision-making strengthens both emotional intelligence and self-trust. Over time, it creates a balance between who you are as a human and who you are as a conscious, evolving being.
Balancing Emotions and Logic
Emotions are powerful tools, but unchecked, they can cloud judgment. Humans often make decisions driven by fear, guilt, or anger. Observing the higher self teaches that logic and intuition can guide choices more effectively. Emotions are essential—they make us human—but they must be balanced. Integrating your higher self allows you to navigate situations calmly while still honoring your feelings. This balance prevents regrets and promotes outcomes aligned with your goals and values. It also fosters emotional maturity, helping you respond rather than react. Understanding when to lean into your higher self versus when to honor human emotion is key to personal growth.
Guilt, Self-Esteem, and Growth
Guilt has been one of the hardest emotions for me to manage. It kept my self-esteem lower than it should have been. I often felt responsible for things outside my control, from declining invitations to worrying about others’ feelings. Over time, I learned that considering someone else’s feelings does not require sacrificing my own goals or happiness. Trusting my higher self helps me navigate these emotions without feeling guilty. By leaning into this guidance, I can act with intention, confidence, and love for myself. Balancing empathy with self-priority creates stronger boundaries and a clearer path toward the life I envision.
Navigating Judgment and Energy
Living aligned with your higher self may make others perceive you as cold or distant. Some people operate mostly from emotion, unresolved trauma, or low energy. It’s important to recognize this and not internalize their judgments. When interacting with others, observe their energy, separate their issues from your path, and maintain clarity. Your higher self provides guidance rooted in love and purpose. Reject negativity that does not serve your growth. Surround yourself with individuals who uplift and inspire, while maintaining compassion for those still navigating their own emotions.
Cosmic Perspective: Superpowers Within
Your human self and higher self operate as two powerful dimensions within you. Each version provides insights that help you navigate life and evolve your soul. Emotions make us human, while the higher self provides logic, clarity, and guidance. When balanced, they create a life of purpose, growth, and fulfillment. Misalignment between the two can slow progress or create setbacks, requiring more time and effort to recover. The key is to use both wisely. Embrace your emotions, but allow your higher self to guide your decisions. Trust yourself, give yourself grace, and remember that navigating the human experience is challenging but rewarding.
